Terms of Use
LeaseKit provides a free lease generator and state-law reference for general informational use. By using the site you accept these terms.
Not legal advice; no warranty
The generated lease is a starting draft, not a finished legal instrument. Landlord-tenant law varies by state and locality and changes over time; have an attorney review any significant agreement. Content is provided "as is" without warranty.
Local rules win
Cities frequently add deposit caps, just-cause rules and notice requirements beyond state law — always check municipal ordinances for the property’s location before signing.
Acceptable use
Use the generator freely for your own rentals; link freely with attribution. Scraping, republication or embedding the generator inside another product requires written permission.
No accounts, no uploads
The service has no user accounts and receives nothing you type — the generator runs in your browser, which also means the site cannot recover a draft you closed without printing. Keep a printed or saved copy of the finished lease; that copy is the agreement, not this website.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, use of the generator and the state reference is at your own risk and the site is not liable for outcomes of agreements signed based on its output. These terms may change as the service grows; the current version is always this page, and the footer carries the last-update date.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the site operator’s home jurisdiction; disputes about a lease you generated belong to the state where the rental property sits, under the lease’s own governing-law clause.
